Naqsh-e Jahan Square

Walking around the glorious Naqsh-e Jahan Square, your guide takes you to the Safavid dynasty. You will learn about every building, the history behind them and their usage. Shah Abbas the Great built Naqsh-e Jahan Square as a place to rule, pray and leisure. He ruled in Ali Qapu in which he had a total dominance over people below him in the square. Shah Mosque was the public place of prayer and a school. Strolling through Qeysarie Bazaar which was the economical heart of the city, you have the opportunity to experience a real Eastern Bazaar, smell colorful spices and taste exotic food and snacks. The square was also working as a Polo arena; Shah Abbas would watch riders fight over the ball and reward them with gold coins.
