  • What is Daric Card?

    Daric Cards are debit cards issued by Iranian banks, with IRR currency and usable at every POS/ATM throughout the country. No matter which bank is the issuer of your card, you can use it wherever SHETAB logo is available.
  • How can I receive my Daric Card?

    You can easily receive your Daric Card upon your entry to Iran and by going to the branch of the issuer bank at the Imam Khomeini International Airport. Depending on your country of residence, we may also be able to post the card to you. In this case, your account will be charged to cover the delivery costs.
  • When can I start using my Daric Card?

    In order to use the Daric Card, you first need to activate it. For activation you need to go to any of the selected branches of the issuer bank (including the one in the Imam Khomeini International Airport) and show your passport to the clerk.
  • What information is printed on my card?

    Your name, the card number, the expiry date of the card, the CVV2 code and the support information.
  • Is my Daric Card usable for online purchases also?

    Currently, the Daric Cards issued for non-residents can not be used for online purchases. However, you can use your DARIC account credentials to purchase online wherever DARIC is accepted as a payment method. This mainly includes tourism-related service providers, such as hotels and airlines.
  • How can I change my card PIN?

    The card PIN can be changed using ATM devices of the issuer bank (Bank Tejarat). You can also go to the branches of the issuer bank and ask the clerk to do so for you.
  • Can I cancel the card payment transaction after it is confirmed?

    No. After the payment is confirmed, it is not possible to cancel it or ask for a refund. If you have any problems with your purchase, you have to ask the seller to consider your request first. You can also call our support team and ask for help.
  • Do I get notified on my mobile phone when a card transaction is confirmed?

    If you have an internet connection on your mobile phone, you'll be notified on your phone instantly. The notification includes necessary information such as the transaction date and time, the transaction volume in IRR and your home currency.
  • What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?

    Keep calm, nobody can use your card without the PIN. Go to the card menu in DARIC app (or website) and block your card. You can also block your card by calling our support team or going to the branches of the issuer bank.
  • Can I request a replacement Daric Card?

    Yes. All you need is to go to the branches of the issuer bank and ask for it. Your old card will be blocked (if it is not blocked yet). Note that your card will have a new PIN, which will be delivered to you in the bank branch. There is also a small charge associated with issuing a replacement card.
  • When do I need to use my CVV2 code?

    During an online transaction, we may ask you to enter the CVV2 code of your card. This code is also needed when you want to block your card through the app (or the website) and when you want to transfer the remaining money to your bank account in the home country.
  • What happens if the expiry date of my card is passed?

    After the expiry date, the Daric Card becomes useless. You have to go to one of the branches of the issuer bank and request a replacement card, to have access to your money again

  • How much is the price for Daric Card?

    To get a Daric Card you only need to pay 20 Euros. There won't be any transaction fees or other additional costs. The fee includes card issuance, delivery, and 24/7 customer support.
  • What is DARIC?

    DARIC is a complete tourism payment platform, carefully designed for tourists who want to visit Iran. Using DARIC you can get an Iranian payment card issued by an authorized Iranian bank, and use this card at every POS or ATM device in Iran. You can also use your DARIC credentials to easily purchase your travel services online. DARIC simplifies payments for you.
  • Am I eligible to use DARIC services?

    Yes, if you are at least 18 years old and live in one of the countries supported by DARIC. We are working hard to make DARIC available in all countries
  • I want to travel to Iran again. What should I do?

    Contact our support team. Depending on the time past from your last trip, we tell you what to do and what documents to send us. Then we make it possible for you to load your account balance and apply for a new Daric Card.

  • How can I top-up my account balance?

    Account balance top-up is possible through bank transfers. Select the top-up option in our app/website. You will then get our bank account info, as well as your specific reference number. Transfer the money to the provided bank account using your reference number, and we will load your account balance as soon as the money is transferred to our account. Note that we only accept payments sent by yourself.
  • How much does it cost for me to use DARIC?

    Creating an account, applying for a Daric Card and using the card at POS and ATM locations are all free. We charge you by a little amount when you top-up your account balance. Any commissions for other services are shown to you and confirmed before being applied.
  • Is there any limit on the account balance?

    Yes. The sum of the account top-up values should always be less than 10,000 EUR. Any incoming money transfer violating this condition would not be accepted.
  • Is my money protected by you?

    Yes. We exchange all incoming money to IRR and keep it in your name in a licensed, well-known Iranian bank. The bank guarantees the protection of your money according to the banking rules of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
  • How can I see my transaction history?

    Your last three transactions are always shown to you in the bottom section of our app's landing page. You can also access your full transaction history simply by going to the "Transaction History" section of the app/website. We have designed various filters for your convenience.

  • How can I use my card at POS devices?

    All you need is to swipe the card, enter the amount in IRR (if it is not automatically entered) and then enter your PIN.
  • What should I do if the salesman asks me for the card PIN?

    In Iran, it is usual if the salesman asks for the PIN. However, you can always ask them gently to let you enter the PIN yourself, and they will let you do so.
  • Is there any receipt when I use my card at a POS?

    Yes, you receive a receipt. However, in most cases the receipt is in Persian. We constantly work on making English receipts more available.

  • How can I use my DARIC credentials for online purchases?

    You can use your DARIC credentials for online purchase of specific travel services, prior to entry to Iran or during your stay. All you need is your username and password. In some cases we may ask for your card's CVV2 code for confirmation.
  • What happens if I don’t have enough balance for an online purchase?

    If the service supports reservation option, we inform you and you can book the service and pay at a later time. We are working hard to make the reservation option available for more services.
  • What is travel service reservation?

    For specific travel services we provide you with the reservation option, which enables you to book the services and pay for them at a later time. Using this option the service will be booked in your name and you will have a specific timeframe (usually two weeks) to complete the payment and finalize the booking. Reservation is available for specific services. We are working with our partners to enable this option for more services.

  • How can I use my card to withdraw cash from the ATM devices?

    You can use your card to withdraw cash from any ATM device in Iran. All you need is to enter your card, enter the PIN and follow the instructions shown on the screen.
  • Do ATM devices support English language?

    Yes. All ATM devices in Iran support English language and if you select it, the receipt will be in English also.
  • Is there any limit for cash withdrawal?

    Yes. You can withdraw 2,000,000 IRR (approximately 50 Euros) per day.
