How it works
Everything up to collecting the visa happens online.
Tell us who’s travelling
Passenger, passport and document details for each applicant, then your trip and where you will collect the visa. Up to ten applicants, saved as you go.
Review and pay
Check every applicant and the total on one page, name who we should write to about the application, then pay by card.
We get your approval
Our team submits the application to Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and follows it up. Your authorisation code arrives on your tracking link.
Collect your visa
Show the authorisation code at the airport visa counter when you land, or at the embassy you chose, and the visa is issued to you there.
Why apply before you fly

Board with confidence
Some airlines turn away passengers bound for Iran without an approved visa. With an authorisation code in hand, you know you’ll be let in.

Skip the arrival gamble
A visa on arrival can be refused at the counter, after the flight is paid for. Applying ahead settles it while plans can still change.

One application for everybody
Family, friends or a group of colleagues: up to ten people on one application, one payment and one main contact.

Follow every step
A tracking link shows where the application stands, carries our questions if we need anything more, and holds your visa when it’s issued.
What to have ready
Have these to hand for every applicant and the form takes minutes. The things on the right are worth sorting out before you apply.

The Iranian tourist visa at a glance
Most visitors to Iran travel on a tourist visa approved in advance. The approval is an authorisation code from Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs — you may see it called an e-visa, a reference number or a visa grant notice, and all of them mean the same thing.
You take the code to an airport visa counter when you land, or to the Iranian embassy or consulate you chose, and the visa is issued there. It goes on a separate sheet rather than in your passport.

Your Iran visa questions, answered
Most travellers do. Citizens of the countries below can visit without one, for the number of days shown; everybody else needs a visa before they travel.
90 days: Turkey, Armenia, Oman and Syria. 45 days: Georgia. 30 days: Iraq, Lebanon and Bolivia. 21 days: China, Hong Kong and Macao. 20 days: Egypt. 15 days: Malaysia and Venezuela. 14 days: Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
15 days in any six months: Bahrain, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Cambodia, Croatia, Cuba, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mexico, Peru, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Tanzania, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
Iran revises this list from time to time. If your nationality is on it and you plan to stay longer than it allows, you still need a visa.
